o Live up to the Scout Oath and Law.
o Attend 2/3rds of all meetings and activities.
o Summer Camp counts as 2 overnights/activities.
o Scouts should be in uniform at all meetings (Class A when school is in session and Class B when school is out for the summer). Each Scout can have one chance per month to have an excuse for not wearing his uniform.
o Able to sit in chairs with backs at campouts. Eagles will bring their own chairs.
o Able to sleep on cots (all non-Summer Camp campouts). Eagles will bring their own cots.
o Able to sleep in an adult tent (Eagle Scouts ONLY – does not mean 1 Eagle Scout and 2-3 Non-Eagle Scouts). Eagle’s “right” to use adult tent subject to availability.
o Allowed to bring upright or large adult camp box to Summer Camp.
o All Tribesmen will be properly acooderized at all Scouting functions.
o All adults wear Tribal attire during Tribal ceremonies.
o Troop will supply one (1) set of permanent claws to each new Warrior (Hardway or Honorary).
o Troop will supply one (1) colored plumb for each Hardway Warrior paint advancement.
o Extra special Cracker Barrels after all Warrior and Brave ceremonies.
Scouts are allowed to do a Scoutmaster’s Conference AND a Board of Review on the same day. All Scouts to be in full Class A uniforms for Scoutmaster Conferences and Boards of Review.
o Normally 6th year Scouts and above. Also normally have to be at least 16 AND an Eagle Scout (i.e. a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster).
o Have to be approved by Scoutmaster to be in this Patrol (NOT automatic).
o Able to eat with the Adults.
Only those over age 18.
o Senior Patrol Leader runs meetings including appointing Scouts to perform opening and closing, and coordinating announcements.
o The Assistant Senior Patrol Leader must have a rank of at least a Star Scout.
o Terms are for 6 months. Elections are normally held during the first week of September and March.
o The Assistant Senior Patrol Leader automatically assumes the Senior Patrol Leader position during the next election cycle EXCEPT when they do not participate in at least 50% of the Troop Scouting activities. If less than 50% participation has been made then the automatic rise to Senior Patrol Leader will be made at the discretion of the Troop Scoutmaster.
o Able to spend up to $100 per Scouting event without prior Committee approval.
o If a Scout has paid dues to the Troop for more than 6 years, that Scout will be assessed the adult recharter /registration fee (currently $15) in the year that the Scout turns 18. The Troop will pick up the remaining fee.
o This Troop is a 100% Boys Life Troop. When a family has multiple Scouts registered, 1 subscription per family meets this tradition.
o If an adult takes and passes (completes) a BSA adult training course and that person is an active member of the Troop, they will be reimbursed for the cost of the training when a certificate of completion is presented (this includes Wood Badge).
o Normally held every 2 years.
o Normally Scouts must be age 14 by the time High Adventure is taking place (also depends on age requirements of High Adventure Camp/Activity).
o Normally Troop pays for transportation to and from High Adventure locations.
o Must be at least 21 years old to take passengers under the age of 18.
o Drivers under the age of 18 are allowed to drive (just themselves) to and from Scout functions however, they must first ask and receive permission from an adult (over age 21) to leave the function if it is earlier than the rest of the Troop.
o Age difference for tent partners can only be 1 year (i.e. 1 year older or 1 year younger). If you are at least age 15 or a Brave/Warrior in the Tribe the age limits do not apply however no one under the age of 14 is allowed to tent with anyone age 16 or above.
o Maximum 3 Scouts per tent (in special conditions). 2 is preferred.
o Scouts will not be allowed to bring their own tents except in extraordinary conditions (defined/approved by Troop Committee).
o No adult (age 18 or above) is allowed to tent with a youth except for father/guardian and son. Although this meets with National Boy Scout standards, father/son sleeping arrangements are HIGHLY discouraged within the Troop except for extraordinary circumstances.
o Person who says grace before meals is normally (not always) first in the serving line for food.
o Electronics: Allowed going to and from camp but must stay in a vehicle when you get to camp (INCLUDING Summer Camp).
o Cell Phones: Allowed to and from camp but can not be used during camp unless specific permission is given by an adult (over age 21).
o Campfire on every overnight except when staying indoors (such as Boy Club overnight).

$50 subsidy towards camp fees for all FULL TIME adults going (and staying) at Summer Camp. Amount must be approved by the Troop committee on an annual basis depending on financial health of Troop.
Troop pays camp fees for Camp Scoutmaster and Assistant Camp Scoutmaster.
Assistant Camp Scoutmaster is normally the Camp Scoutmaster the next year. Recommendation for the person to be Assistant Camp Scoutmaster is made by the Camp Scoutmaster, Troop Scoutmaster, and Committee Chairman and approved by the Troop Committee.
Air mattresses are allowed but not air beds (must be able to place air mattress on the cot) – Applies to Scouts.
